How to assemble the STILT® Weights
Step 1.
Remove the brass weights from box.
Step 2.
Attach the black velour magnets to the side panels of the cradle. A click will indicate that the magnet has engaged.
Step 3.
Adjust the length of the ribbon to fit the width and thickness of your book by looping it onto itself and securing with the magnet.
Step 4.
Or roll the ribbon up onto the magnet.
Step 5.
Adjust the location of the ribbon by sliding it up, down, left or right along the side panels of the cradle to make it perpendicular to the fore-edge of your book.
Step 6.
The ribbon should be taut and perpendicular to the fore-edges of the book.
Step 7.
The brass weights can be adjusted along the margins to avoid blocking text or marginalia.
Step 8.
The black velour magnets can remain attached to the side panels of the cradle while a page is turned or while removing and placing a new book upon the cradle.
