The Physics Story.
The beauty of our Stands is that when tilted at an angle, most of the shear force is taken up by the anti-slip surface in order to reduce the gravity on the Ledge. This way, the size of the ledge can be minimized while avoiding too much stress on the bottom board edge of your book.
Sizes.
Our Stands currently come in 5 sizes: 12mo, octavo, royal octavo, quarto & folio. We offer a 50º and a 70º angle. Custom angles can be made upon request. Our Stands come included with a STILT® Ledge of appropriate size.
